When Asad shared with us that his parents and Haniya’s parents knew each other , everything about this wedding began to make sense.
“Our parents knew each other from back in Pakistan,” Asad told us. “So they were family friends.”
This wasn’t two sides meeting for the first time. It was a continuation of a relationship that had started decades ago.
There was an ease to everything that day laughter came naturally, conversations flowed like old memories, and you could tell that this marriage wasn’t just joining two hearts, but reuniting two families.
It felt familiar. It felt like home.
Morning Calm Before Celebration
The morning at Lansdowne Resort was soft and calm.

When we asked him how he was feeling, he smiled and said:
“I think Haniya’s just the perfect girl, and I’m really excited to spend the rest of my life with her.”

Everywhere we looked, there were small, meaningful moments— Haniya’s mom adjusting her dupatta, Asad’s father giving him one last word of advice, siblings trading inside jokes.
