Palestinian Traditions: Sahar & Hussein at Whispering Hollow Estate
There is something truly magical about a destination wedding in the heart of the Pennsylvania mountains. On October 4th and 5th, 2025, Sahar and Hussein brought their families together at the stunning Whispering Hollow Estate in Alum Bank, PA, for a two-night celebration that was as timeless as the landscape surrounding it.
An Enchanted Outdoor Henna Night
The weekend kicked off on Saturday, October 4th, with a traditional Henna Night. Nestled in the mountains of Bedford, the crisp October air was filled with the sounds of celebration.
Sahar and Hussein planned for an outdoor Henna (weather permitting!), taking full advantage of the rustic elegance of Whispering Hollow Estate. Capturing the intricate henna designs against the backdrop of 1409 Dunkard Hollow Rd was a highlight. The five hours of coverage allowed us to document the vibrant dances, the traditional songs, and the intimate moments that make a Palestinian Henna Night so unique.

Editorial style means your wedding photos will look like they belong in South Asian Bride Magazine. We focus on high-fashion posing, soft lighting, and "casual elegant" compositions that make your traditional attire look modern and timeless.

Absolutely. Many couples choose destination weddings in PA (like at Whispering Hollow Estate) to have a private, weekend-long celebration. We offer custom 12-14 hour packages split over two nights to cover both the traditional Henna and the formal Wedding Reception.

Yes! We have extensive experience with Palestinian wedding traditions, including the Henna Night and the Zaffa. We understand the importance of capturing the cultural energy of the drums, the dancing, and the family-focused rituals that make these weddings unique.
As a photographer and videographer team, we are obsessed with capturing the energy of destination weddings. Sahar told us she wanted a "Gossip Girl" level of chic combined with the raw, authentic vibe of her Palestinian heritage and this weekend delivered exactly that.
Night Two: The Grand Wedding Reception
On Sunday, October 5th, the energy shifted to the Grand Wedding Reception. While the Henna was about tradition and heritage, the reception was all about the "forever" promise. Moving indoors to the estate's beautiful reception space, the evening was a mix of high-energy dancing and editorial-style portraits. We spent an hour before the event capturing Sahar and Hussein’s "First Look" in the mountain light—a must-have for any couple who wants photos they can look back on for life.
